CRPF organises blood donation camp in Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 01(KNS): The Central Reserve Police Force on Monday organised "Blood Donation Camp" in Central Kashmir's Srinagar city. 


In a statement, the CRPF said Fit & Fine 79 Bn, CRPF, Sonwar, Srinagar presently involved in security of VIP/VVIP and also performing the CI(OPS) duty in Srinagar and surrounding area has always taken various additional responsibilities/initiative to aid & augment social welfare activities in it’s A.O.R (area of responsibility). 

"In the line of its past endeavor, Fit and Fine 79 Srinagar has once again come forward to help the mankind with its little effort by this event of blood donation campaign in collaboration with Red Cross society and blood Bank, Srinagar (J&K). In this noble work more than 100 volunteers from officers and men of 79 Bn, CRPF have stepped forward to donate the Blood," it said. 

"Shri Mathew A John, DIG Range Srinagar (South) and Dr Abdul Salam Mir, JKAS, Hon. General Secretary, Indian Red Cross society (J&K) have kindly consented to be the Chief guest and the Guest of honour respectively of this event organized at 1000 Hrs today (01/08/2022) at Amar Singh Club(Srinagar). Various social dignitaries of Srinagar also joined this mega campaign and appreciated the efforts of the Force for it prodigious work," It said. 

"In past also, 79 Bn CRPF have undertaken various activities like plantation campaign, Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, Antidrug initiatives, ILAMY- Rojgar (guiding youths for various competitive exam) and many such other Civic Action Program for the welfare of People of Jammu and Kashmir," it added. 

It futher said that these social initiatives by 79 Bn CRPF have always found places in the referral column of Print & electronic media and also among high dignitaries from all walks of society. 

"Today’s Blood donation camp has been successfully organized under the sincere guidance of Sri Kishore Kumar, Comdt 79 Bn assisted by Shri Vishwa Deep Singh, 2nd in Command, Sh Avigyan Kumar, Dy Comdt, Sh T P Singh, Dy Comdt, Dr Tufail Anjum Reshi, GDMO and all the ranks of 79 Bn CRPF. This force is grateful to Md Imran Muzaffar, Programme Manager, Indian Red Cross Society, Srinagar(J&K) and his team for their pro-active approach to this social cause without whose sincere support, this campaign would not have been successful," the forces said

It futher added that 79 Bn CRPF takes the pride in extending gratitude to all the Media personnel who have come along to cover this event out of their busy schedule.(KNS).
