Jammu, Dec 06 (KNS): CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed grief over the sad demise of renowned writer and poet G N Naazir who breathed his last at SKIMS Soura Yesterday.
Hailing from village Yaripora of district Kulgam, he right from his childhood used his pen in cementing communal harmony, brotherhood and religious tolerance.
His contribution in developing Kashmiri language and its grammar will be remembered for times to come.
He described his demise as a personal loss, saying his passing away has created a void in the progressive literary movement in the state, which is difficult to fill up.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHis poetry and works both in Kashmiri and Urdu have immensely contributed to the literary world as he highlighted through his poetry the sufferings of the toil, downtrodden and working class people, besides laying emphasis for promotion of secular values and strengthening pluralist ethos of the state.
