Jammu, Nov 20 (KNS): Criticizing government move in hiking the rates of food stuffs including Atta and Rice, CPI(M) State Secretary, G.N. Malik urged for rolling back of the anti-people move with immediate effect. Instead of providing relief and succor to the people of the state, the government seems to be hell bent to allow the masses to suffer badly. The steep hike of Rs.5/- per kg. in the rates of atta and rice from Rs.8/- to Rs.13/- and Rs.10/- to Rs.15/- respectively is bound to affect the pockets of the people adversely and one is surprised over this move which is prima facie anti people step, he elaborated. Keeping in view the losses suffered by the farmers due to unfavourable climatic conditions coupled with turmoil in the valley and firing across LoC and IB in Jammu region, government is bound to provide respite to the people and reconsider and review the steep hike forthwith.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
