Srinagar June 11 (KNS): A delegation from the Communist Party of India [CPI(M)] in Jammu andKashmir met Dr. Farooq Abdullah at his residence where they discussed the prevailing situation in the region.
Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that during the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of peace, dialogue, and the protection of democratic and constitutional rights of the people.

Also present at the meeting were Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Sogami, and party spokesperson and MLA from Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq.
The CPI(M) delegation included General Secretary M. A. Baby, Members of Parliament Amra Ram, K. Radhakrishnan, John Brittas, Su Venkatesan, Bikash Ranjan, and A. A. Rahim. Other members present were M. Y. Tarigami (MLA and Central Committee Member) and Mohd Abass Rather (State Secretary of CPI(M) in Jammu and Kashmir). (KNS)
