Srinagar, June 9 (KNS): A high-level delegation of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), led by party General Secretary M.A. Baby, is scheduled to arrive in Srinagar on June 10, 2025, for a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation will include prominent Members of Parliament—Amra Ram, K. Radhakrishnan, John Brittas, Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharyya, S.U. Venkatesan, and A.A. Rahim—who will be accompanied by senior CPI(M) leader and MLA, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami.
Soon after their arrival, the leaders will travel to Uri sector to meet families affected by the recent cross-border shelling. On June 11, the CPI(M) leaders will address a one-day party convention at Tagore Hall in Srinagar, where key political and social issues facing Jammu and Kashmir are expected to be discussed.
Confirming the visit, CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the tour underscores the party’s commitment to highlighting the suffering of border residents and engaging with the people of J&K on pressing democratic and socio-economic concerns. (KNS)
