Srinagar April 23 (KNS): Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, CPI(M) leader today paid rich tributes to Ab Hameed Wani, Kisan leader who breathed his last today at SKIMS Srinagar.

While paying homage to the late leader, Tarigami said that Ab Hameed Wani was one of the architects of the Kissan Movement who played a pivotal role in organizing the peasantry against various remnants of feudalism after the historic land reforms of 1953.

He was an epitome of wisdom who embodied a great sense of conviction and proclivity for the destiny of shared goals of the working class. His departure marks the end of an era in the Kissan Movement of J&K. Abdul Hamid Wani’s tenacity and commitment to fight for the working class is a legacy of sacrifices, unity and upholding secular traditions.

We convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and share in their grief.(KNS)
