Bandipora, June 06 (KNS): District Information Centre (DIC) Bandipora has launched an intensive awareness campaign across the district to educate general public about various precautions, Do's and Donts' regarding Corona virus Disease -2019.
District Information Officer Bandipora Jahangeer Akhoon said after more cases were detected in the town after a brief pause of one month, the department felt a need to re launch the awareness campaign to caution people about the disease and ask them to help in breaking the chain.
With the help in Public Address System installed on several vehicles, the department creates awareness across the district with special focus on Red zones and buffer zones. During the campaign, public is informed about the precautions to be taken to prevent spread of the virus and appealed to stay indoors as restrictions have been imposed under section 144 in these areas.
Jahangeer Akhoon said the campaign is a continuous process and shall continue to cater every village of the district. He said the teams are visiting remote villages of the district and informing people about precautions, Dos and Don'ts regarding COVID-19.(KNS)
