Baramulla, March 30 (KNS): As part of the district administration's initiative that has been launched to avert any kind of difficulty that may arise due to shortage of essential commodities in view of pandemic COVID-19 outbreak, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today distributes various food items including rice, flour and other essentials among the non-local workers. About 1800 non-local workers are currently working across the district.

On the occasion, DC said that the move was taken to avoid any kind of inconvenience in the present circumstances. He said that every effort shall be taken to streamline the distribution of essential commodities at the peoples door steps for which necessary mechanism has been formulated.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelMeanwhile, the workers expressed gratitude of the district administration.

Earlier, the MC Baramulla under the supervision of President Municipal Council Baramulla Umar Azhar Kakroo carried out a fumigation drive in Old Town Baramulla during which various spots across the town were sanitized. The drive was launched as a precautionary measure to mitigate the risk of infection outbreak.
