Srinagar, Jun 28 (KNS): Court on Tuesday quashed the detention of district president of Muslim League under Public Safety Act and directed police to release him.
Advocate Bashir Ahmad Tak who pleading the case informed KNS that Police had arrested district president of Muslim League, Assadulllah Paray son of Ghulam Nabi Paray, resident of Hajin Bandipora, on charges of provoking youth for stone pelting, and also involved in anti-government speeches.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“He had been booked by Bandipora police. His detention order was passed on February, 16 of this year,” he said.
Meanwhile, Justice Muhammad Yaqoob Mir quashed his detention under PSA and directed police to release him. (KNS)
