Srinagar, Dec 29 (KNS): A police personnel was injured in the initial firing after encounter broke out in Nowgam area of Shahabad Dooru in Anantnag district on Wednesday evening, police said here.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Nowgam area of Shahabad Dooru this evening.

He said that in the initial firing one cop was injured and he was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The official said that police and security forces were on the job, while further details will be shared accordingly. (KNS)
