Srinagar, Jan 16 (KNS): A policeman Personal Security Officer (PSO) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and SDPO Bijbehara Irshad Ahmad Bhat in Bijbehara area decamped with four rifles on Saturday from DSP’s residence.
Pertinently, a policeman guarding the house of J&K roads and building Minister Altaf Bukhari decamped with two rifles on last year’s March 29 who joined militant outfit.
On Saturday, a policeman who was posted as SDPO Bijbehara and PSO of DSP decamped with four rifles, sources said.
While talking to KNS, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Javaid Mujtaba Gilani said that on Saturday Shakoor Ahmad, a resident of Kundalan in Shopian district who was Personal Security Officer (PSO) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and SDPO Bijbehara Irshad Ahmad Bhat in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district, decamped with the rifles.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that there are reports that more two persons decamped with the said cop but so far it has not been confirmed.
IGP said that a case has been registered and investigation in this regard has begun. (KNS)
