Srinagar, September 17( (KNS): Militants shot dead a railway cop in Wanpoh and non local labourer in Neehama area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Friday.

A Police official told Kashmir News Service that militants fired upon a railway constable identified as Bantu Sharma near Shamford School. 

He was shifted to nearby hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Soon after the attack whole area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

Meanwhile a non local labourer identified as shankar Choudhary who was also brought dead to hospital.

Health official told Kashmir News Service that Shankar has bullet injuries in head and was brought dead to hospital.

Police official told Kashmir News Service that they have taken the cognizance of matter and investigation has been initiated.(KNS)
