Contact history of six positive cases is being ascertained: DC Kupwara

Srinagar, Apr 04 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Anshul Garg Saturday said that contact history of six persons who tested positive afresh, is being ascertained on war footing basis.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), DC said six persons who have been tested positive including three males and three females. He said all tested positive patients have travel history who had stayed at Markaz Nizam-ud-din in New Delhi.

He said the said patients were kept in quarantine centre soon after they reached Valley.

DC further added that four patients out of six were sent to quarantine at ITI Handwara directly soon after they returned from New Delhi while one patient was kept in quarantine at Tangdhar.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe also added that the sixth person has been learnt to have been quarantined in Bandipora since his return from New Delhi.

He however said that authorities are on job to ascertain their contact history on war footing basis so that the further threat could be contained.

DC maintained that all said patients are cooperating effectively and we are hopeful for their speedy recovery.

Meanwhile after authorities confirmed fresh cases on Saturday,authorities issued red alert in concerned areas and sealed entry and exit points to stop the unnecessary movement of people. (KNS)
