Srinagar, Apr 01 (KNS): Dr Imtiaz Wani, Consultant Surgeon at Government Gousia Hospital in Khanyar area of Srinagar has been awarded for his excellent work in surgery for patients during Covid and non-Covid period.

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), no stone was left unturned by department of Surgery, Government Gousia Hospital for giving best Surgery services during Covid-19!as well as in during non-Covid period.

The statement reads that all surgeries including Laparoscopy and open procedures were performed for patients in Peak of Covid after following proper SOPs.

“These operative services at the Hospital were given to surgical patients from District Srinagar as well as almost patients from all Districts of Kashmir. Dr Imtiaz as well as his team received this honor for their dedication towards surgical services.”

As per the statement, the award was conferred by director health services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Rather.

Dr Imtiaz, as per the statement, said that he is highly thankful to Anesthesia team including Dr Masood, Dr Salim and Dr Saika Khan for their unparalleled support.

“The team is highly thankful to Dr Tariq Jan for his moral, ethical and logistic support. The Doctor has reiterated such awards do not count, a smile on surgical patient is real biggest award for me,” reads the statement. (KNS)
