Ganderbal,April 3 (KNS): Hundreds of forest trees have been rampantly cut down by construction agency for mini power project in Kulan Gund area of Ganderbal.
" The rampant vandalisation of forest tress is happening in Compartment no 42 of Kulan Gund forest and it also damaged the water supply to the town, thus affecting supply of clean drinking water.
Locals alleged during the ongoing work of this mini power project hundreds of small trees are being chopped and buried on the road, locals said
They alleged that it is not only damaging the forests, but also depriving the local town of clean water from the ground,
A local citizen Asghar Hussain said that he also informed the district administration about this matter, but authorities have not taken up any step for addressing this serious issue.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Locals have demanded that the governor administration set up an investigation commission in this regard and act against the culprits(KNS)
