Srinagar May 16, (KNS): Srinagar District Congress Committee on Friday welcomed dozens of prominent political and social activists from different areas into Partyfold terming the development as significant and a reflection of full faith and trust under the pro people policies and programmes of the Congress.
Srinagar District Congress Committee President Irfan Naqib and JKPCC Media Coordinator Dr. Audil Farooq Mir (Lasjan) welcomed the new entrants into partyfold and hoped that they wil
l do their utmost to further strengthen Congress in their respective areas and serve the public to the best of their ability.
Those who joined the Party included M.Arif Sheikh, Fayaz Ahmad Wani, Mohd Ramzan, Gh.Qadir Zargar, Pervez Ahmad Parray, Nazir Ahmad Dar, G.M.Sheikh, Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, Jan Mohd Najar, Altaf Hussain Mir, Mushtaq Ahmad Najar, Tariq Ahmad Sofi, Mudasir Ahmad Mir, Gh.Nabi Ganai and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Irfan Naqib while congratulating the new entrants for joining the Party urged them to vigorously work for the betterment of the public given the fact, they (public) have great expectations from the Congress for the fact, Congress has always respected public urges and aspirations.
Naqib said Congress Party is emerging stronger in J&K under the leadership of JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra, terming him (Karra) a strong leader with a vast knowledge on socio political scenario of the country who knows how to deal with challenges be it political or any other challenge confronting Party.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
On this occasion Naqib said there are some undesired and unwanted elements roaming unnecessary in various districts especially in North Kashmir since Thursday aiming to create confusion under the garb of visiting shelling affected areas for their cheap publicity, besides attempting to be in the limelight.
I want to tell them that Congress Party is a sea where such misadventures don’t matter and advised them to focus on their political career, which is going to be diminished soon given their activities and actions, which are absolutely against the principles of Congress, Naqib added and laid strong emphasizes over initiating strict disciplinary action against all those who are out to damage Congress to serve their vested interests, he asserted.
JKPCC Media Coordinator Dr.Audil Farooq Mir (Lasjan) told the new entrants to identify the public issues in their respective areas and do their utmost to take up those with the administration for their resolution. He also emphasized the need to organize block level meetings in the entire Srinagar district which will boost the morale of the Party cadres.
Youth Leader Er. Danish Reshi and various other Party leaders addressed the meeting and hailed the leadership qualities of JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra. (KNS)
