Srinagar, August 05 (KNS): Describing the protest by ReT teachers against the so-called policy of “screening” by Education Department as most genuine, JK PCC Chief G. A. Mir while supporting the protest by ReT teachers said Coalition Govt in the State doesn’t bother about the problems confronting people, particularly employees of the state.
He said instead of creating employment avenues for the educated unemployed youth of the state, the new policies of the Government with regard to ReT teachers, casual labours, daily rated workers would further create a chaotic situation in the state.
Mir was addressing a public meeting at Wachi in District Shopian.
While expressing surprise over the decision of the Government, the JKPCC Chief said that new policies of the State Govt with regard to ReT teachers, Anganwardi Workers, Casual Labours etc are aiming to divert the attention of the people from the failure of Coalition Government.
JKPCC Chief castigated the PDP-BJP coalition for agonizing ReT teachers and asked them not to try to disturb the education system of the State. The new policy of the Government has shaken he whole education system and is about to have a very bad impact on the career of students also, he said. “It is not understandable that why they (ReT teachers) have to undergo screening, if there is anything wrong anywhere, Government have sources to check and find out, why should every ReT teacher undergo screening,” he said.
Terming the protest by ReT teachers as genuine, JKPCC Chief supported their protest and said Congress party will oppose any move of the Coalition Govt that goes against the interest of Employees of the State and the common people.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
JKPCC Chief said it will be a great injustice on the part of Coalition Govt towards the ReT teachers if any teachers after discharging his or her duties for along is tortured on one pretext or the other. “Govt should not create difficult situation for the ReT teachers or other employees of the State, as that will sink more the already sinking boat of PDP-BJP Coalition,” he warned.
JKPCC Chief also hit out at the Government over not releasing the wages of Anganwari Staff and the discrimination with Casual Labour working in various departments. He said it is highly painful that employee who are working on very meagre salaries are not being paid their wages. He sought clarity from the Govt over the wages withheld of Anganwari Workers etc.
Addressing the gathering Former Minister Taj Mohi U Din and Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat said Congress Party will fight tooth and nail with PDP BJP Coalition over its attitude towards the people and employees of the state. They said Govt should stop dictatorial attitude and find solution to the problems instead of creating more anguish for the people.
Those who addressed the gather included Mohd Anwar Bhat , Amreen Badre Vice Presidents, Ex. Minister Gh. Hassan Khan, Ab. Qayoom Shah, Gulam Mohd Mir District Presidents, Mohd Iqbal Mir, Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, and others.
