Srinagar July 11 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today strongly condemned the deadliest act on a convoy in which seven yatries were killed leaving 19 others injured. The Party described the attack as cowardly and a deliberate attempt to vitiate the atmosphere of peace in the State.
According to the statement issued to KNS, a condolence meeting held today in Srinagar expressed deep shock over the loss of lives and condemned the attack in a strongest words. The meeting was presided over by MLC Vice President Gulam Nabi Monga and attended by Senior Leaders and Legislator.
The Party leaders while expressing solidarity with the bereaved families described the attack as a deliberate to harm the age-old tradition of communal harmony and brotherhood in the State.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Stating that the Govt has filed to ensure adequate Security to Yatries coming to perform yearly pilgrimage, Congress Leaders urged upon the Govt to ascertain the identity of killers for severe punishment and emphasized that Security to Yatries must be beefed up inorder to ensure their safety.
Congress Leaders while offering heartfelt condolences to bereaved families, sympathized with them and prayed for eternal peace to departed souls.
