Srinagar August 6:(KNS) The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today strongly condemned the attack on BJP Sarpanch of Veessu Qazigund (Kulgam) Sajad Ahmad Khanday leading to his death and conveyed deepest condolences to bereaved family.

The Party also condemned the militant attack on BJP Panch Akhran(Devsar) Arif Ahmad leaving him critically injured.

Senior Congress Leader and Former Legislator Mohd Amin Bhat and various other Party leaders have strongly condemned the killing of BJP Sarpanch Sajad Ahmad Khanday, describing the incident as shameful and mindless act on the part of militants.

The leaders also condemned the attack on Arif Ahmad BJP Panch of Akhran (Devsar) and prayed for his speedy recovery.

Congress leaders expressed deep sorrow and anguish over the loss of precious life of BJP Sarpanch in a militant attack and urged the authorities to nab the killers of Sajad Ahmad Khanday for exemplary punishment.

The situation is extremely volatile in South and elsewhere in Kashmir in view of the rising attack on political person, the Govt must ensure protection to political persons irrespective of their Party affiliation, Mohd Amin Bhat Said.

I have no words to express my pain and grief, my heart goes out for the family of Sajad Ahmad Khanday, who lost their son in a mindless militant attack, Mohd Amin Bhat said

Congress Leaders conveyed deepest condolences to family of Sajad Ahmad Khanday and prayed for speedy recovery of Arif Ahmad Sarpanch and Panch of BJP and prayed for eternal peace to departed soul, they added.(KNS)
