Jammu, Feb 06 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress committee on Thursday has strongly reacted to the withdrawal of age relaxation to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir in the civil service examinations and said that this is the worst kind of shock and injustice to the educated youth of the erstwhile state post disbanding of the state into UT.
Strongly reacting to the development JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir availed these concessions for the last three decades, in view of the disturbed conditions prevailing here and this was the biggest gift of previous governments to help the youth of erstwhile state to compete with youth of the rest of country. With the withdrawal of age relaxation ,the youth of J and K would miss the opportunities to get a chance to reach to the coveted positions in services.
He regretted that this has happened at a time when the DOPT is headed by a minister from Jammu who was required to persuade the GOI to keep this benefit continued in view of prevailing disturbed situations here, post abolishing of the special status especially the disbanding of the state into UT.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The youth of general category as well as those from reserved categories would be deprived of the benefit of age relaxations and it would result into great injustice to the deserving youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Blaming BJP for their anti youth policies for Jammu & Kashmir, JKPCC said that these concessions were introduced to provide opportunities to the youth of the militancy prone state, to complete with the youth of the country, for the prestigious services, as they are at disadvantageous positions due to disturbed conditions, here.
He said that one after another shocker is being given by the BJP government to the youth of J&K, which shows that BJP only sheds crocodile tears for the educated youth and their policies are anti youth. The youth of the J&K would not tolerate this attitude of the centre government and would rise against these moves of the BJP government (KNS).
