Srinagar, Mar 08 (KNS): Amir Rasool, a congress candidate who fought elections from Amira kadal constituency in 2014 assembly elections, was Monday elected as J&K State General Secretary by the party high command.
President of Youth Congress, Amarinder Singh Brar has promoted Amir Rasool to the party post.
In a joint decision by the party high command including V.P Rahul Gandhi, Secretary AICC and I/C All India Youth Congress Suraj Hegde, Raja Amrinder Singh Brar National President Indian Youth Congress has decided to promote Aamir as J&K Youth Congress General Secretary.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
‘With the Rasool’s impressive performance at state and national level from past two year, the party has decided to promote him as Youth congress General secretary of State,” a party leader said.
Aamir Rasool was earlier Youth Congress Lok Sabha President had worked on national level as Election Coordinator in Rajasthan and New Delhi Elections.
Meanwhile Amir thanked the Congress high Command including Rahul Gandhi, Gh. Nabi Azad,Gh. A hamed Mir, Amarinder Singh Brar for showing confidence on him. (KNS)
