Srinagar, Nov 14 KNS): Recalling the services rendered by architect of Modern India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Congress today paid homage to Former Prime Minister on his127th Birth Anniversary and extolled his contributions to the overall development of the Country and upliftment of poor and downtrodden sections.
Congress also paid homage to veteran political leader and a great scholar Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on is birth anniversary.
In this connection J&K Pradesh Congress Committee held an extraordinary meeting of Senior Party workers at Srinagar Headquarter today and paid rich tributes to Former Prime Minister on his birth anniversary. The leaders termed described him as an architect of modern India under whose leadership an era of development started, as a result, the country is one of the fast-developing Nation in the World.
The meeting was presided over by JKPCC Spokesperson Farooq Andrabi.
The speakers while remembering Former Prime Minister (Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru) stated that he did his utmost to take the country forward in developmental and other sectors and started Prime Minister’s reconstruction plan, which proved a turning point in the overall development of the Country, as a result India is one of the Super Powers of the World.

They said people of the Country will continue to remember Pt. Ji for his selfless services he had rendered during his life time.
Pt. Ji who was committed to equitable development of every section of the country, never compromised and defeated those elements posing threat to secular fabric and unity of the country, they said.
The Speakers also paid rich tributes to Veteran Educationist and Senior Political leader of the Country Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and described a great intellectual of that time, who provided the Nation a best education policy, thereby enlightening the future of the people and the generations to come.
