Srinagar Nov 1 (KNS). The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) On Monday commemorated 133rd birth anniversary of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, recalling his selfless services towards the Nation.
 
A meeting of Senior Congress leaders which was presided over by Mohd Anwar Bhat was held at Srinagar Congress Office to commemorate the 133 birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of India Pt.Jawahar Lal Nerhu in which  Congress leaders paid floral tributes departed leader  and recalled his selfless services and sacrifices  to the Nation.
 
Speaking on the occasion Mohd Anwar Bhat said Pt.Jwahar Lal Nehru was the architect of Modern India, who built the Nation brick by brick after taking over as First Prime Minister of India. The departed leader made strenuous efforts to make the country vibrant democracy and developed Nation.
 
Pt.ji was  a best administration and experienced politician who took the prestige of the nation to heights in respect of defence, communication, education, developmental of poor and rural people, his five reconstruction plan turned India into fast developing country in the world, which was appreciated and recognized by world powers.
 
Pt.Ji had a great love for Children and always celeberated his birth with children, Bhat added.
Those who paid floral tributes to Pt.Jawahar Lal Nehru included Bashir Ahmad Magrey, Irfan Naqib, Shameema Iqbal, Shameema Sopori, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Gulsher Khan, Showket Ahmad and various other party workers.(KNS)
