Congress on Political Life-Support as NC Alliance Wobbles: Altaf Thakur

Says Congress has lost vision, cadre and credibility

Srinagar, Dec 11 (KNS) : “The Congress in Jammu & Kashmir today is surviving purely on political life-support.

In a statement issued he said , Its once-claimed organisational presence has crumbled, its leadership has no roadmap or conviction, and its cadre is drifting without direction. The party that once boasted of national stature is now struggling even to maintain its basic political relevance in J&K.

The widening tensions between the National Conference and the Congress are not sudden developments—they reflect deep mistrust and conflicting ambitions that have been simmering for long. Their alliance is stitched together by desperation and electoral compulsions, not by principles or a shared vision for the people. When two parties do not trust each other, how can they offer stable governance or hope to the public?

Congress has become so weak that it cannot stand independently anymore. It survives only by clinging to alliances, acting more like a political dependent than a national party.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe party’s inability to mobilise the public, take clear positions, or inspire confidence exposes a terminal decline that even NC cannot hide.

On the other hand, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP has delivered stability, development, and a transparent governance model. The people of Jammu & Kashmir have moved beyond outdated dynastic politics and rejected opportunistic alliances made for self-preservation. The NC–Congress alliance is a classic example of a partnership born out of fear—fear of public rejection, fear of accountability, and fear of the BJP’s growing acceptance among the people.”

“Congress may try to borrow strength from others, but the reality remains unchanged: the party is gasping for political oxygen in J&K. The BJP stands strong, decisive, and committed to a peaceful and prosperous future for the region, while Congress continues to fade into irrelevance.”(KNS)
