Flays Modi Govt for anti-farmer policies

Srinagar October 31, (KNS); Congress today observed Indira Gandhi’s death anniversary as Kissan Adhikar Divas at Srinagar Party Office and flayed Modi Govt for adopting anti-farmer policies.
Congress also paid rich tributes to Sardar Valla Bahai Patel on his birth anniversary and recalled his services to the Nation.
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) in a meeting of senior Party Leaders, District Presidents and prominent Congress Leaders and workers paid floral tributes to Former Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi on her 36th death anniversary, which was observed by the Party as Kissan Adhikar Divas and described her assassination as a great loss.
JKPCC President G.A. Mir who presided over the meeting lauded the selfless services and sacrifices of Smt. Indira Gandhi to the Nation and said her immense contributions to the inclusive development of Nation shall always be remembered.
India made remarkable achievements under the strong leadership of the Indira Ji, who even scarified her life for the integrity and prestige of the Nation.
Mir said India has lost a great statesman and a leader of masses under the assassination of Smt. Indira Gandhi, whose dream was to make India as powerful country, which happened due to her tireless efforts. She is credited of  giving a befitting reply to the enemies, thereby sending a strong message to the world that India would not compromise on its integrity and sovereignty.
JKPCC President said Indira Gandhi worked tirelessly, bringing the country at par with the fast developing countries in the world, If India was one among the powerful Nations that is because of the Congress Party and its strong leadership, who did their utmost to make the Country self-reliant in every field, Mir added.
We are observing the death anniversary of our beloved leader as Kissan Adhikar Divas to extend full support to farmers (Kissans), who were feeding the entire country by dropping their sweat and blood to ensure that people did not sleep empty stomach, Congress Party vows to intensify its fight against the anti-farmer policies of Modi Govt, Mir said.
Congress also paid rich tributes to Sarader Valla Bhai Patel on his birth anniversary and described him a strong and visionary leader, who served the Nation to the best of his ability.
Those who addressed the meeting included JKPCC Vice President Haji Ab. Rashid Dar, Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Bashir Ahmad Magrey, Gen Secretaries Surinder Singh Channi, Shameema Iqbal, Shameema Raina, Gulam Nabi Mir Lasjan,  District Presidents Haji Abdul Gani Khan,Haji Farooq Mir, Zahid Hussain Jan, Imtiyaz Parray, Sahil Farooq, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Senior Leaders Mohd Iqbal Mir, Ali Mohd Mantoo, Shameema Mir, Umer Jan, Altaf Malik, Abdul Rashid Dar and others.
Senior party leaders, contesting candidate, block presidents and others party cadres were present in the meeting and paid rich tributes to Smt. Indira Gandhi and Sardar Valla Bhai Patel.(KNS)
