Congress leader meets LG, seeks action on Pulwama development issues

 Srinagar, June 6 (KNS): Congress leader and District President Pulwama Umer Jaan on Saturday met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and submitted a memorandum seeking urgent intervention in a range of developmental and public welfare issues in the south Kashmir district.

 
During the meeting, Jaan presented a charter of demands related to healthcare, road connectivity, public safety, irrigation and civic infrastructure, stating that the issues required immediate attention from the administration.
 
Among the key demands raised were the sanctioning of a fire service vehicle for the Fire and Emergency Services Unit at Pinglena, upgradation of the New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) at Pinglena and establishment of a maternity hospital at Sirnoo.
 
Jaan also sought upgradation and macadamisation of several roads in the district, including stretches connecting Kaigan, Katipora Chersoo, Chandgam, Tahab and Khambri, besides internal roads in Koil and Dogripora Kawani.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
He urged the administration to expedite the completion of the Dattpora-Reshipora bridge project and requested that the old court complex be transferred to the district administration for public use. Installation of an ATM at Qasbayar in Rajpora was also among the demands submitted.
 
The Congress leader further sought strengthening of drinking water and irrigation facilities through the establishment or upgradation of drought pumps in several villages, including Gulzarpora, Chersoo, Barsoo, Hari, Kawani and Dogripora.
 
Jaan said the demands were aimed at improving healthcare services, road infrastructure, public safety and access to basic amenities for residents of Pulwama district.
 
The Lieutenant Governor gave a patient hearing to the issues raised and assured appropriate action, according to a statement issued by the Congress leader's office.(KNS).
