Congress lashes out at Govt for ‘failing’ to attend R-day function

Says regime doesn’t exist on ground

Srinagar, Jan 26 (KNS): Lashing out at the government for failing to attend the R-day functions in Valley, the opposition political party on Thursday, termed PDP-BJP dispensation as the non-existent government.
The opposition leader said that the government didn’t even put their effort to reach the Valley to attend the R-day functions that were held at all district quarters.
Talking to KNS, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) state chief, G A Mir said, “I believe that the government is non-existent as they didn’t even put their efforts to reach the Valley to attend the R-day functions.”
He said that that the various areas including Banihal and others didn’t receive the snowfall but it seems that the government was reluctant to attend the functions thereby didn’t try to reach the Valley via road. “If the government was interested in attending the functions held at district levels today, then they would have used alternative means to reach the valley instead of waiting for resuming of air traffic,” he told KNS.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He also said that the Srinagar-Jammu highway is closed from the past five days but the government doesn’t even bother to look into the sufferings faced by the commuters who are stranded on the road. “What else could be negligence of the government as no one from the government bother to visit the stranded commuters on the either sides of the road,” he added.
He said that besides the government, the administration also failed to visit the stranded commuters. ‘The government must have been provided shelter tents top the stranded commuters but instead of providing helping hand, they have left the commuters to lurch at large,” Mir said. (KNS)
