Srinagar, August 4 (KNS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tuesday claimed that ‘path breaking’ initiatives taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India witnessing tremendous growth during the past one and a half year have frustrated the Congress party and its indulging in baseless propaganda to save itself from the wrath of people.
In a statement to KNS the BJP Kashmir spokesman Khalid Jehangir said: “Congress has become a history as the Prime Minister Modi led government has exposed their misdeeds and their lackadaisical attitude towards the people.”
Jehangir said that change of guard in the centre and in Jammu and Kashmir has proved that Congress failed to anything for the people and tried to keep masses happy by offering lip service.
Taking a dig at the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir, the BJP spokesman said, “Mir is living in fool’s paradise and his sermons about Congress being the only hope are nothing but a farce.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHis party was out rightly rejected by the masses in Parliamentary as well as the Assembly elections. People giving decisive mandate in favour of BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha polls and repeating the same in assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir has left the Congress dumb folded.”
Jehnagir said that Mir and his associates who used to claim that they are the stalwarts of the party failed to even win their own seats. “Congress leaders were even rejected by their own people, whom they represented for more than a decade. Failure of the Congress leaders to address the aspirations of the people led to their ouster. BJP doesn’t need sermons from the people who without bothering for people filled their own coffers,” the BJP spokesman added.
