Srinagar, Oct 11 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Monday held strong protest against daylight murder of farmers in Lekhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh, demanding dismissal of Union Minister of State for Home affairs from the council of Ministers.

The party also demanded exemplary punishment to the son of Ajay Mishra Teni for brutally murdering farmers under his jeep.

Senior Congress leaders and workers led by J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi held strong protest against the shocking daylight murder of farmers, holding both UP Government and BJP Government responsible for encouraging crime inorder to hide their utter failure on all fronts.

They demanded exemplary punishment to son of Union MoS Home Ajay Mishra Teni and justice to the families’ of victims. The farmers were returning after holding peaceful protest, but were crushed to death by the son of Union MoS Home, Leaders said and termed the incident as barbaric and ghastly.

The murder of farmers has shaken the conscience of the Nation, Congress Leaders added and demanded justice to the victims, who were returning after holding peaceful protest, but were murdered by the son of BJP Minister.

Congress party will continue to protest against the injustice and murder of innocent farmers, urging the people across the country to join it (Congress) in the fight against the barbarism and anti-people policies adopted by BJP Government," Congress Leaders said.

Among others who participated in the protest included DCC Presidents Abdul Gani Khan, Umer Jaan, Gen Secretary Shameema Iqbal, AICC Member Abid Kashmir, Mir Ruvais, Ab. Rashid Dar (Sangrama), Irshad Ahmad Ganie,Showket Ahmad Malik,Raja Waseem, Saira, Shameema Sopori, Rahilla, frontal organization workers and other prominent workers of the Party. (KNS)
