Srinagar July 16:(KNS)    The Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) General Secretary on Friday rued lack of development in Tral area of Pulwama District and urged the LG administration to address developmental issues.

JKPCC General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi during a day long tour of Tral Tehsil in Pulwama District expressed serious concern over the dilapidated condition of various link roads and absence of other basic facilities including health, besides irrigation facilities at many places, as reported and sought redressal of people’s grievances.

JKPCC General Secretary during his tour met various deputations from Saimoh, Dewar, Nigeenpora, Chaterogram etc who complained of various pressing developmental issues concerning them on account of macdamization/repairing of link roads, electricity curtailment and absence of various other basic facilities, including health facilities and demanded their redressal.

Surinder Singh Channi while expressing serious concern laid emphasizes over construction of Horde Mir to Saimoh Link road, Gurduwara Boarding House to Nigeenpora road, besides Dewar to Chatoergam link road, which are in a dilapidated condition and sought their macdamization on war footing basis. Though one KM Horde Mir to Saimoh Road has been macadamized, but remaining portion of road awaiting necessary repairs and macdamization for a long, which is reflective of callous attitude towards people’s grievances on the part of concerned authorities, he said.

LG administration must focus on developmental issues concerning entire Tral and other similarly situated areas in South Kashmir to ensure that people do not feel abandoned on account of development they deserve, JKPCC General Secretary added.

Surinder Singh Channi also sought adequate and upgradation of health infrastructure in far flung areas in Tral, as that, people  have to travel long distance to reach tehsil headquarter for their treatment, which is very serious, needs to be addressed, at right earnest.(KNS)
