Srinagar July 9: (KNS)     Congress Leader Muneer Mir along with various party leaders and workers of Lolab toured Machil Sector and expressed serious concern over the hardships confronting people there on account of their development and absence of other required facilities.

During his tour to Machil sector in frontier Kupwara district, Muneer Mir met various peoples’ deputations, who complained that they were living a difficult life due to the Govt apathy, as that, there were no roads for their movement, hospitals were running short of medical equipment’s and staff, besides there is no lady doctor available, besides  there  was no road connection, communication and  absence of other necessities.

Congress delegation led by Muneer Mir expressed serious concern over the  backwardness of Machil sector and drew the attention of Govt toward the backwardness of this far flung area.

Congress Party delegation led by Muneer Mir found that even there was filtered water supplied to inhabitants, health facilities were  not available, besides there are no electric poles  and wire, regretting that the life of people of Machil sector are almost impossible and the irony was that this backward are has been used for votes only, no development has taken place, which was indicative of  hypocrisy on the part of successive State Govt, who were responsible for failing backward people for the sake of their electoral gains.

Congress Leaders drew the attention of the LG administration towards the problems and backwardness of Machil Sector emphasizing that Govt must constitute team of Senior Officers from all the departments, which will take stock of the urgent needs of people in Machile and other adjacent areas to ensure that Machile, etc did not remain exception in respect of the development, education and other basic necessities.

Congress Party will fight for poor and downtrodden people, will raise their issues on every appropriate platform.(KNS)
