Srinagar, Jun 02 (KNS): Congress District president Irfan Naqib has expressed his displeasure for not being called to the party meeting which was held today under the leadership of senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Irfan said that those leaders were invited to the meeting who didn't vote during parliamentary elections or even didn't participate in a single rally for Congress President G A Mir.
He said that the main cadre of the party or being district president of the party in Srinagar he does not know who has called the meeting.
"We don't know who had called the meeting. Such leaders were invited to the party who did not come out to vote in parliament polls," he said, adding he is not speaking against any leader but those people who are sending wrong information to the party high command in New Delhi.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
"We were invited for Iftaar Party, but later we know that a meeting is being held at the venue," he said, adding that young leaders and activists have put their life and career at stake by risking their lives while associating themselves with a national party.
"We will raise the issue with Rahul Gandhi as we have sought a meeting with him," he said. (KNS)
