'Loss of civilians unfortunate, condemnable'

Srinagar, Apr 01 (KNS): Describing the civilian killings as very unfortunate, Senior Congress Leader Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday while expressing serious concern over the deteriorating situation, strongly condemned the civilian killings and injuries to dozens in the backdrop of encounters in South Kashmir, saying that the loss of civilians could have been averted.
In a statement issued to KNS, Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday expressed serious concern over the civilian killings, besides injuries to dozens of people in the backdrop of fierce gun battle in South Kashmir , saying that situation is deteriorating enough fraught with serious consequences.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He blamed both State and Centre Govt for failing to restore peace in the valley, rather the wrong approach adopted by both PDP-BJP with regard to Kashmir was responsible for deteriorating situation, he said.
Stating that Security Forces must exercise restraint while dealing with Militancy related activities, Congress Leader urged that the Security Forces need to add more importance to lives of civilians and ensure that no civilian causality happens in the larger interests of peace, he added and said both State and Centre must taken effective measure to restore peace in Kashmir valley.
