Srinagar, Mar 03 (KNS): The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Spokesperson, Farooq Andrabi Friday expressed serious concern over strike of NHM Workers saying that the strike is affecting the functioning of Centrally Sponsored NHM Scheme and urged upon the Govt to consider the regularization and hike in pay of the NHM workers, as they are performing their legitimate duties for a long time.
Describing the demands of NHM workers as genuine, Andrabi in a statement issued to KNS said Govt should shun the rigid attitude and take effective measures to put an end the strike.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe impressed upon the Govt to hold talks with the NHM workers and listen to their grievances for resolution.
He added that people in far flung areas and elsewhere are being made due to suffer due to the strike, which should come to an end in the larger interests of the patients.
He said the NHM workers have every right to protest against discrimination being meted out to them. (KNS)
