Srinagar, Feb 16 (KNS): Congress today slammed Government for withholding three month’s salaries of SSA (Surva Shiksha Abhiyaan) Teachers, describing this move on the Part of Government as very unfortunate and anti-teacher.
The Party Spokesperson while reacting to the delegation of SSA Teachers called on JKPCC President G.A. Mir seeking his intervention into the matter, said that the delegation apprised the President of the difficulties confronting them (SSA Teachers) due to the indifferent attitude of the Government towards them forcing them to come on roads.

The delegation also apprised that despite their repeated requests to the Department concerned, their salaries were not being released, as a result, their families are at the verge of starvation, Spokesperson added.
The Congress Spokesperson while expressing serious concern over the plight of SSA Teachers slammed the Government for adopting indifferent attitude towards them emphasizing the need for release of salaries of their enabling them to sustain their families. (KNS)
