Srinagar, Jul 12 (KNS): Stating that Centre Govt while proving the failure of State Govt in dealing with the situation, Congress today stated that the failure of the Govt to ensure safety of innocents has led to the loss of dozens of precious lives, besides injuring hundreds. The losses could have been evaded had the State Govt acted early and taken effective measures.
MLC Gulam Nabi Monga, MLA Haji Abdul Rashid Dar Vice Presidents MLA ,General Secretary Uman Majeed, MLA Mohd Amin Bhat, MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani and others in a joint statement issued to KNS stated that Centre Govt has now started looking after current situation directly, which is indicative of the failure of the State Govt to deal with the situation. It is surprising that State Govt is completely missing in the given circumstances, they said.
Castigating State Govt for the losses as a result State affairs are now being looked after by the Home Ministry, the situation in the Valley is beyond the reach of Coalition Govt, they said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Terming PDP BJP Coalition Govt as a complete failure, Congress Leaders blamed the Govt for the present crisis, so far State Govt has only been able to deploy the forces, besides imposing curfew and restrictions, but has failed to take control of the volatile situation occurred in the backdrop of the protests erupted in South Kashmir and elsewhere in the Valley.
Reiterating Congress Party’s appeal to people to maintain calm and shun confrontation, Congress Leaders urged the authorities dealing with law and order to ensure that no civilian casualties take places, as the regular incident of firing by forces is escalating the anger among the people, which is fraught with dangerous consequences.
