Congress asks PDP to clarify its stand on Ram Madhav’s statement

Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President and MLC G N Monga Tuesday asked Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to clear its stand on BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav’s statement that BJP-PDP coalition in the state was functioning according to Shama Prasad Mookerjee’s ideology.
In a statement to KNS, he said, “PDP needs to clarify its stand on its alliance partner’s statement. PDP and its leadership owe an explanation to Kashmiri voters whom they had promised during elections that only PDP can stop BJP from entering Kashmir.”
“PDP can’t wash off its hands from a statement issued by a senior functionary of the BJP. They (PDP) need to explain whether they are also working on principles of Mookerjee’s ideology,” Monga asked.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The Congress MLC said by remaining silent over the issue, PDP leadership can’t hoodwink people of the state anymore. “PDP which compromised everything for the sake of power by entering into a communal party like BJP needs to explain to its voters whether working on principles of Mookerjee’s ideology is part of it so-called agenda of alliance with the BJP,” he added.
Monga maintained that it is only Congress which has always worked for the development and unification of the state. “The dangerous ploy of PDP-BJP alliance can prove harmful for the interests of the state. But Congress will defeat their nefarious designs,” he asserted. (KNS)
