Srinagar, Jan 03 (KNS): Criticizing the Centre over the issue of demonetization, Congress today asked Prime Minister Modi to explain people how much black money Govt has recovered from black money hoarders so far. The Congress also asked Modi where is that recovered black money as the people want to know what centre has achieved by changing currency of the country overnight.
Addressing the Party Workers in District Kupwara today Ex. MLA Delhi and Senior Leader Mateen Ahmad accompanied by General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi lashed out at Centre Govt for making the people of Country suffer by enacting different stories with regard to demonetization, which has not only cost precious lives; but has badly affected the Country’s economy, the impact of which would be so dangerous and disturbing.
Later addressing a presser, both (Mateen Ahmad and Surinder Singh Channi) sought explanation from Centre Govt over various aspects connected with demonetization, they blamed the Prime Minister for creating chaotic situation in the country due to unwanted demonetization.
They said people of the country wonder as to what did the Centre achieve by changing the currency, the Nation want to know, how much black money was recovered, so far and where is that money.
Earlier Former Minister (Haryana) Aftab Ahmad accompanied by Spokesperson Farooq Andrabi addressed a presser in Srinagar today, blamed the Centre for more than hundred deaths in the country due to the demonetization and demanded probe into these death. A similar programme was held at Budgam today where a workers meeting of District Budgam was held.
Addressing the meeting Aftab Ahmad said that Congress Party will expose the BJP and Prime Minister Modi for the unfulfilled commitment made with the people about black money that he has claimed to recover within 50 day, now that the 50 days have passed, but there is no sign of improvement visible on the ground, rather people have been made to suffer for no fault of theirs’.
Aftab Ahmad accompanied by General PCC Nair Ahmad Khan, District President Zahid Hussain Jan addressed media persons and accused the Centre for failing to prove its claim with regard to demonetization, which has inflicted heavy losses to people especially Country’s economy.
He said the so-called demonetization has incurred huge losses to people especially business community, besides rendering thousands of people jobless.
I want to ask the BJP especially Prime Minister, how many thousand crores have been recovered, so far, how much black money hoarders were arrested and punished, although Congress party wants that flow of black money must be stopped completely and people behind this unlawful business must be identified for severe punishment, but at the same time Congress Party shall never allow BJP to play with the emotions of people on so called demonetization, which was absolutely a wrong decision on the part of Prime Minister Narinder Modi, he added.
