‘PDP-BJP Coalition has brought JK at verge of disintegration’
Srinagar, Oct 26 (KNS): Appealing people of Jammu and Kashmir to maintain communal harmony and aged old tradition of brotherhood, state Congress has said that PDP-BJP Coalition has brought the State of Jammu and Kashmir at the verge of disintegration.
In a statement issued to KNS today, Congress said that their party being the only unifying force would strive hard for maintaining the communal harmony and bridging the gaps created due to misrule by PDP-BJP Coalition.
The spokesman in the statement said that Pradesh Congress Committee held an important function at Congess Party Headqurters today. The function was presided over by PCC President G.A. Mir. Earlier PCC was scheduled to hold a peaceful sit in at Pratap Park, Srinagar, but it was Congress Party was not allowed to do so, because of the interference by Police Department.
Mir while speaking on the occasion at Pratap Park, Srinagar today, made a fervent appeal to people in all the three regions for maintaining communal harmony, age old tradition of brotherhood and unity. PCC Chief urged the people to defeat the designs of anti peace forces harming the secular fabric of the State
State Congress Chief told the gathering that there are certain forces and factors in the state vitiating atmosphere of peace by communalizing the situation.
Cautioning the people about the designs of anti peace forces and factors present in the State, Mir appealed the people to remain vigilant and defeat the designs of unscrupulous and disgruntled elements hell bent upon to harm the Communal Harmony and age old tradition of unity and brotherhod in the State. he said.
People of Jammu and Kashmir State have always maintained the communal harmony and brotherhood at all costs and by all means, but there are various factors working for changing the multi cultured position of the State, PCC Chief said.
Describing Congress Party as the representative of people in true sense, JKPCC Chief said that Congress Party being the only unifying force in the Country would continue to fight against the forces harming Secular Fabric of the State, it (Congress Party) won’t allow anyone to play with the emotions of people to benefit their vested interests, he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Mentioning about recent episodes of polarizing the Situations, Mir censured PDP-BJP coalition for exploiting people on various issues. Had there been a proper mechanism with PDP-BJP Coalition, the situation should not have taken an ugly shape on various occasions, he said.
Expressing serious concern over the discord created due to wrong policies of the Coalition Govt, PCC Chief said that Congress Party would continue to work for strengthening the people and work for equitable development of the three regions he assured.
On this occasion PCC Chief disclosed that Congress Party would hold Districtwise Seminars on Communal harmony in state appealing all sections of society to help and contribute for ensuring safety of Communal harmony, unity and age old tradition of brotherhood in the State.
