Clarifying the alliance understanding with NC, Mir said, “If the National Conference contests one seat, whether in Rajya Sabha or Assembly, we will support them wholeheartedly. And when Congress contests another seat, we expect their support in return. The party high command will take the final call within the next 24 hours.”
He said both the state unit and the legislature party have authorized the leadership to decide on behalf of the party. “Ultimately, the coalition has to move forward together and ensure victory in both elections,” he said.
Criticizing the BJP, Mir said that the saffron party’s attempt to field candidates on all four seats was aimed at creating unnecessary political disturbance.(KNS).
