Udhampur, June 16 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday reaffirmed that the complete eradication of terrorism from the soil of Jammu and Kashmir remains the topmost priority of the administration.
He was addressing the Passing-Out Parade of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySsP) and Probationary Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur.
Addressing the newly inducted 49 DySsPs and 1,112 PSIs, the Lt Governor called upon the officers to adopt a multi-pronged strategy and leverage intelligence, community engagement, advanced technology, and inter-agency coordination in the fight against terrorism.
“Our mighty warriors of JKP must continue their mission with renewed resolve. The fight against terrorism demands courage, vigilance, and adaptability,” he said.
Sinha praised the Jammu and Kashmir Police for their valor, commitment, and professionalism, stating that the entire nation holds the force in high esteem for its successful handling of multiple security challenges and its ruthless approach in combating terrorism.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“The skillful and synchronised parade today marks a new beginning in your professional lives. Uphold the rich traditions, values, and ethos of J&K Police,” he urged the recruits.
Emphasising the broader role of the police in society, the Lt Governor said that JKP personnel must ensure peace, stability, and development across the Union Territory. “Our ancient values—truth, justice, morality, law, and good governance—must be protected and nurtured. The police are guardians of these principles,” he added. (KNS)
