Bandipora, Aug 19 (KNS): The Handicrafts department has set up a four-member selection committee for the recruitment of temporary craft instructors at Tribal Plan (TSP) centres in Gurez constituency, with interviews scheduled for August 22.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the committee will be headed by Handicrafts Training Officer Mohd Ashraf Sofi and will conduct skill assessments and interviews for eligible candidates at the HTO office in Nowpora, Bandipora, at 11 am on Saturday.
The panel includes Assistant Handicrafts Training Officer Mohd Ibrahim Gilloo, his Gurez counterpart Arif Hussain Sheikh, and a senior representative to be nominated by the District Development Commissioner's office, the officer added.

The committee has been tasked with scrutinising applications, ensuring a merit-based selection process, and submitting its recommendations to the Assistant Director for final approval, officials said.
They said the recruitment drive specifically covers instructors for Zari and Gabba crafts.
The exercise is part of the Tribal Plan initiative aimed at strengthening traditional crafts and generating livelihood opportunities in the Gurez Valley, they added. (KNS)
