Asserting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is committed to vacate the government buildings from the possession of security forces, PDP senior leader and Minister for Hajj and Auqauf Monday said that right from the beginning PDP has remained committed for the betterment of the people.
According to KNS correspondent while talking to reporters at South Kashmir's Pulwama District Veeri Said: “Government buildings will be vacated from the possession of forces. PDP has always wanted peace and cordial atmosphere for the people of Jammu and Kashmir,”
He further said that in Pulwama district some buildings will also be vacated from the forces by shifting them to alternate accommodation so that people do not face any trouble.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“We are committed to lessen the footprint of the security forces in the state,” he said.
Meanwhile according to a document tabled recently by the government in the Assembly, security forces are occupying 1,300 private houses, 250 government buildings, 18 industrial units, five cinemas and 27 hotels.
The government had also said that all land that has not been given to the security forces on lease, license or acquisition under the Land Acquisition Act will be returned to the legal owners. According to official documents, 66,690 kanals and 10 malras of land have been occupied by the Army and paramilitary forces without paying rent to the land owners. (KNS)
