Chairman Kashmir Society Khwaja Farooq Renzushah Tuesday said “we are committed to launch a serious campaign to keep Kashmir in first stage of wine free place, in second stage, Chinab Valley and Pir Panchal Valley will be kept free from wine and drugs, and at the third stage Jammu will be kept free from all these ailments.”
The chief guest Bashir Ud Din Farooqi while fully supporting Kashmir Society campaign to keep J&K in three phases free from wine, immorality and drugs said, “J&K government should immediately ban flow of wine from Lakhanpur to J&K state and close all wine bars and use of wine by any local or non local with immediate effect.”
In a statement to KNS a spokesman of the KS said Bashir Kashmiri, Javaid Tota General secretary of LDP, ex-MLC Syed Ayoub, Ayaz Ahmad, secretary Muslim personal Law Board JK State, Gani Khan ex- Chairman of All Municipal Bodies of Sopore, Ghulam Rasool Dar, Iqbal Hashmi State Secretary LDP, Ali Mohammad Drado and other prominent personalities of Sopore and other parts of the valley were present on this occasion.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“All the speakers were of the opinion that keeping in view frustration of the youth and easy availability of wine shops and bars which have been opened in J&K state, especially in Kashmir; our new generation is pushed towards immorality, drug abuse and use of wine. J&K government should issue an ordinance to keep Kashmir, Chinab valley, Pir Panchal and Jammu districts free from wine and drug menace and all bars should be closed immediately. There is a need for taking effective measured and government should withdraw all the drug and wine licenses with immediate effect,” they added.
