Srinagar, Mar 09 (KNS): Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gazanfar Ali today visited Lal Chowk. Polo view, Maulana Azad Road, Regal Chowk and its adjoining areas to review functioning of drainage and other allied works in the said areas.
He was accompanied by concerned Corporator Wajahat Hussain, Joint Commissioner Works, Joint Commissioner Planning, S.E Drainage and all other senior Municipal Officers.
While taking stock of functioning of different drains in the areas, Ali has passed on instructions to the concerned to go for cleaning of drains for smooth flow of drain water.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Regarding dewatering pump station at Lal Chowk that is under construction, Commissioner SMC passed on instructions to the Mech. Division Drainage to expedite the work and get it completed in time.
While talking to number of hoteliers and restaurant owners in the said areas, Gazanfar Ali directed them to look for the treatment of their food effluents of greasy oil and fatty waters that comes out from their units before flowing into the main drains for further process.
Commissioner also took stock of sanitation in these areas (KNS).
