Controller Examination says grievances of students will be reviewed

Srinagar, Jan 04 (KNS): The students of BA 6th semester of Government Degree College Handwara and Sopore on Wednesday held a protest against Kashmir University over alleged irregularities in evaluation results declared four days before. 

The students alleged that Kashmir University authorities are trying to ruin their career by declaring maximum students fail in several subjects. They alleged that “the results declared by the authorities are not up to the mark. It seems the marks have not been uploaded properly.” Even the KU has not declared results of all subjects. 

A female students while participating in protest at Sopore, said that the authorities must re-check their papers and update results properly. 

Protesting students questioned that how is it possible to declared results in just two days, after examination.

They said that results are shocking as according to them, none of the student is satisfied with evaluation status, thereby left them worried.

They demanded authorities must take cognizance of the issue so that future of hundreds students could be saved.

Shahid Hussein Gojri students of BA 6th semester, said that the KU announced results two days back, and have failed maximum students. 

In some subjects we are expecting to be toppers, however only two or three marks have been given in those subjects, he alleged. 

He also said that the university has not updates results in all the subjects, the KU is yet to announce results in all five subjects, he said. 

We demand the recheck and evaluation up to the mark, he added.

Controller of examinations, Dr Majid Zaman said that grievance of students will be the reviewed accordingly and if the students can't be satisfied after that, the xerox copies will be share with them.

He also said declaration of results on fast track is to ensure degree gets completed stimulated time manner.(KNS)
