At minus 3.7 Degree Celsius, Kupwara records lowest night temperature

Srinagar, Dec 18 (KNS): Intense cold with dry weather conditions continue to grip the Kashmir Valley, while most parts recorded night temperatures below freezing point. 


An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that dry and cold weather is likely to continue in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh during the next 24 hours.

He said Srinagar recorded minus 3.2 Degree Celsius, while north Kashmir’s Kupwara district recorded minu 3.7 Degree Celsius night temperature.  

“Pahalgam has recoded minus 4.5 Degree Celsius and ski-resort Gulmarg has recorded minus 1.5 Degree Celsius as the minimum temperature,” he said. 

In the Ladakh region, Kargil recorded minus 10.6 Degree Celsius and Leh minus 10.2 as minimum temperature. 

The official said Jammu recored 7.2 Degree Celsius, Katra 7.8, Batote 4.6, Banihal 0.4 and Bhaderwah 2.3 as minimum temperature.(KNS)
