Coalition partners stoking up political issues for JK’s division: G H Mir

‘Deviating people to shield its failures’

Srinagar, Jan 02 (KNS): Chairman Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN), Ghulam Hassan Mir, Saturdaysaid that since the PDP-BJP coalition took over, it has created regional and communal divide of the Jammu and Kashmir state.
Talking to KNS on the ongoing controversy on the State’s Flag status, Mir said that the PDP-BJP alliance has failed to deliver good governance in the state and has failed people in redressing their grievances.
“The two alliance partners are stoking up controversial political issues to manage public perception and deviate people’s attention from its failures,” Mir told KNS.
The former minister said that by speaking against the constitutional status of the state, BJP was addressing and saving its own constituency, which is Jammu region, while PDP was defending the constitutional status to save its imminent downfall in Kashmir province.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“Both the partners are shielding their failures in governance, and fueling the state’s regional divide,” Mir said.
The senior leader said that having a special status in India granted by Article 370, Jammu and Kashmir has its own, separate constitution, and Flag.
“The Division Bench of the High Court has stayed an order of its Single Bench about the Flag. It has not questioned the constitutional status of the State or the Flag. So there should be no politics over it. But unfortunately, both PDP and BJP are raking up such issues time and again since it formed the government,” Mir said. (KNS)
