Khalid Rathore appeals Director Rural Development to address their plea

Srinagar, February 18: (KNS)   A delegation representing Community Mobilisers Union (CMU) on Thursday called on Khalid Rathore, Apni Party Youth Provincial President Kashmir, at the Party office in Lal Chowk, Srinagar.

The delegates expressed their grievances regarding the Integrated Watershed Management Program (IWMP), a centrally sponsored scheme executed by the Rural Development Department, in which they had been working as consolidated workers since 2014.

The delegates apprised Rathore that they have delivered unrelenting services from the very introduction of this scheme in Jammu and Kashmir but with an arbitrary decision their services have been rendered redundant.

“The concerned department cites no-fund allocation as a prime reason for the disengagement of these adroit workers,” said CMU members revealing further that the department in first place had never even proposed for fund allocations to the central government.

The delegates requested the Youth Provincial President of Apni Party that their genuine plea will be raised with those in authority so that their sufferings are mitigated at an earliest.

Rathore assured the delegation that their plea will be raised with the concerned authorities and also urged the Director Rural Development Department to intervene in this matter and address their grievances at an earliest.(KNS)
