Pray for welfare, safety of JK people

Srinagar, Aug 17 (KNS): Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has greeted people on Raksha Bandhan and expressed the hope that this auspicious occasion would bring in a new dawn of peace, brotherhood and prosperity in the State.
In her message, Mehbooba said Raksha Bandhan is one of the greatest symbols of India’s cultural ethos, which symbolizes the special bond that exists between brothers and sisters. She said the festival has a huge significance for our state as the annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra concludes on this day and devotees pay obeisance at the Holy Cave.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also prayed for the welfare and safety of the people of J&K State.

In his message of greetings, the Governor observed that Raksha Bandhan is a unique feature of India’s cultural ethos, symbolizing the special bonds between brothers and sisters. He said that this festival has a special significance for Jammu and Kashmir as the annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra concludes on this day and devotees pay obeisance at the Holy Cave Shrine on Shravan Purnima.
